1984 by George Orwell is such an influential book on twentieth and twenty-first century culture, politics and socialism. Orwell is undoubtedly one of the greatest socialists/authors of modern times. Written with captivating style, with its warning of a very possible future to come (if we continue this path) I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone.
